Welcome to El Nopal! -- Located in Alpine, just a couple blocks from Sul Ross State University. Alpine is central to all things West Texas--Marfa, Fort Davis, Big Bend National Park, and Marathon.

** Dogs are welcome with a $40 pet fee. Please be aware there are a few small gaps in the backyard fencing that a small dog could squeeze through. Please supervise animals while outside.
Please be aware that the desert terrain can be quite harsh for pets that are not used to it. Dogs shoes are recommended.
El Nopal Casita does not allow cats.
Enjoy the entire house and spacious backyard.
Off street parking is available.
TV - There is not cable or satellite service, however you may log into your account on the Roku to watch your shows.
El Nopal is 2.5 blocks west of Sul Ross State University's Entrance 3. It is a quiet and friendly
neighborhood within walking distance of Alpine's downtown shops and resturants.
Please be aware that the desert terrain can be quite harsh for dogs that are not used to it. Alpine has cacti, mesquite and lots of grassburs (goatheads). Dogs shoes are highly recommended.

The location was clean and convenient. Nice house in a nice neighborhood full of nice folks.
We had a wonderful stay! The space was exactly as described in the pictures. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out very easy. The location was convenient as well. Would recommend!
the small home is cute and old like most places in Alpine. the problems started when we walked in and the amount of spider webs on the front door. no big deal until you notice the door doesn't close flush. it has many gaps. then we walk into the dining living room. not bad but instead of blinds there's paper on the windows for privacy. odd but it worked. the kitchen was decent size but the oven door was held closed by some string. walking towards the rooms you find the bathroom. with a shower in some kind of barrel. very original but I knew my 68 year old mother wouldn't be able to get into that (there's no steps just the barrel) she had to shower in my daughter's dorm. then the rooms. clean bed, clean sheets and a chair. the room to the right has the door that goes to the backyard. that door doesn't close flush either... the gaps are very noticeable and big enough to let in all kinds of critters like beetles and spiders. I killed a huge spider (2 in) on the curtain in that room. awful
